Can you teach an old bearded Norwegian new tricks?

Welcome to The Analog Apprentice. Follow along as I document my journey teaching myself to service, clean, lubricate, repair and revive classic mechanical cameras. And some newer ones with a bit of electronics crammed into them. But mainly old ones without too much electronics.

These pages may answer the age old question, or not. There are hundreds of old cameras in my shed, all in need of a bit of TLC and CLA. Will I be able to teach myself the ancient art of camera repair? Will I break under pressure and end up in a corner with a barrel of mead, crying. Or will I die as a metric ton of random camera parts come crashing down on me? Only time will tell. So do come back to check on me every now and then, and you may find out.
